Twinfield Connector terms of use
These terms apply to everyone who installs or uses the Twinfield Connector. The administrator accepts them in Odoo before connecting Twinfield.
Version 1.0 · 11 October 2026
In short
- You remain responsible for your bookkeeping and for how you set up and use the connector.
- Never share your Twinfield login or Odoo administrator rights with people who shouldn't have them.
- Check what is booked in Twinfield.
- ERP2XL is not liable for damage caused by wrong use, wrong settings or shared login details.
What the connector is
The Twinfield Connector ("the connector") is an Odoo module by ERP2XL. The connector sends invoices, credit notes, customers and suppliers one way from Odoo to Twinfield, and reads the payment status for information. Access to Twinfield goes through the ERP2XL connection service ("the connection service").
"You" means the organisation using the connector, and everyone working with the connector on its behalf.
Your responsibility
- You are responsible for your bookkeeping, your VAT return and your annual accounts. The connector is a tool and does not replace a bookkeeper or accountant.
- You check the mappings (VAT, ledger accounts, daybooks), the start date and the chosen administration, and you regularly check that the bookings in Twinfield are right.
- You make sure the data in Odoo is correct. The connector sends what is in Odoo.
- You make your own backups of Odoo and follow the agreements with Twinfield.
- You install updates of the connector within a reasonable time.
Login details and access
The connector keeps the access to Twinfield safe, but a few things only you can take care of. So we ask you:
- Not to share your Twinfield login with anyone who isn't entitled to it. ERP2XL will never ask for it either.
- To connect with a Twinfield user that can only reach the needed administration(s), preferably a separate user for the connection.
- To give administrator rights in Odoo only to people who need them, and to adjust them when someone leaves.
- To keep copies and backups of your Odoo database in a safe place, and to disconnect Twinfield in a test copy before anything is posted in it.
- To let us know right away if you think someone has unwanted access. Also disconnect Twinfield and disable the Twinfield user.
If something goes wrong because login details were shared or lost, or because rights were too broad, that is your responsibility.
What is not allowed
- Using the connector for administrations you have no permission for.
- Reselling, renting out or sharing the connector or your access to the connection service with other organisations.
- Misusing, overloading, trying to bypass or attacking the connection service, or testing its security without written permission.
- Changing the connector so that it uses the connection service or Twinfield other than intended.
In case of a breach, ERP2XL may block access to the connection service immediately.
Data and privacy
- Invoices and relations go directly from your Odoo to Twinfield, not through ERP2XL.
- The connection service only keeps what is needed: the encrypted access to Twinfield, the address of your Odoo, a customer number, usage counts (numbers, no content) and who accepted these terms and when.
- The connection service runs on a server in the Netherlands.
- For the processing of personal data in Odoo and Twinfield you remain the controller. See also our privacy policy.
Availability and changes
ERP2XL does its best to keep the connector and the connection service working and available, but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The connector also depends on Twinfield, Wolters Kluwer, the internet and your Odoo server. If sending is not possible for a while, invoices wait in the queue.
Twinfield may change its technology or terms. ERP2XL then adapts the connector as soon as reasonably possible. The connection service is included for as long as Odoo supports version 19; you get a notice in Odoo well before that ends.
Liability
- ERP2XL is not liable for damage caused by: shared, leaked or too broadly set login details or rights; wrong mappings, settings or data in Odoo; not checking the bookings; actions of your users or of third parties you gave access to; outages or changes at Twinfield, Wolters Kluwer, your hosting provider or the internet; and use of the connector contrary to these terms.
- ERP2XL is never liable for indirect damage, such as consequential damage, lost revenue, fines, additional tax assessments or the cost of repairing an administration.
- If ERP2XL is liable after all, this is limited to the amount you paid ERP2XL for the connector in the 12 months before the damage.
- These limitations do not apply in case of intent or deliberate recklessness by ERP2XL.
- You report damage to ERP2XL in writing within 30 days of discovering it.
Stopping and blocking
You can stop at any time by disconnecting Twinfield or uninstalling the module. ERP2XL can block access to the connection service in case of misuse, suspected unauthorised access, breach of these terms or non-payment. In case of suspected unauthorised access ERP2XL does so to protect you and lets you know as soon as possible.
Changes to these terms
ERP2XL may change these terms. Each version has a number and date. With a new version the connector asks the administrator to accept again before connecting again.
Applicable law
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes are submitted to the competent court in The Hague. If a provision is not valid, the other provisions remain in force.
