What you need

  • Odoo 19 (Community or Enterprise) on your own server or Odoo.sh. Community needs the Invoicing app.
  • A Twinfield subscription and a Twinfield user with access to your administration.
  • An https address at which your Odoo can be reached from outside, such as https://erp.yourcompany.com. Twinfield sends you back there after logging in.
  • Administrator rights in Odoo to install and connect.

An accountant with many administrations is best off with a separate Twinfield user per client, with only that administration.

Updates

Put the new version in place, restart Odoo and click Upgrade at the module in Apps. Your settings and mappings stay. The Connection page shows which version is installed.

The Connection page

  • Test connection: checks that everything works.
  • Reconnect: log in with another Twinfield user.
  • Refresh administrations: when an administration was added in Twinfield.
  • Disconnect Twinfield: stops sending. New invoices wait until you connect again.

On the first connect your Odoo registers with the ERP2XL connection service by itself and you get a customer number. The Odoo address for Twinfield is then fixed. If your Odoo moves to another address, contact us.

Stopping

Stop for a while: click Disconnect Twinfield. Stop completely: disconnect and then remove the module in Apps. Everything already in Twinfield stays there. The connector keeps its data in its own tables; Odoo's own invoices, relations and taxes are not touched.
